ABOUT
Commissioned by the City of Athens. The film documents the reconstruction of the iconic municipal Lycabettus Theater in the heart of Athens which is inextricably linked with the city’s cultural scene. The theater reopened its doors to the public after 15 years.
Production
The Construction Timelapse of the Lycabettus Theater was shot exclusively with the use of manual precision timelapse photography with no fixed-position cameras. A total of 25,947 RAW images were shot at 7K resolution. The final film was finished for web distribution at 4K, 3840x2160, 16x9.
DISTRIBUTION
The Lycabettus Theater Timelapse was released online on September 14, 2023 at the official social media accounts of the Mayor of Athens Kostas Bakoyannis on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
