Every year there is a beautiful phenomenon in the Greek countryside, similar to the flowering cherries of Japan. From the beginning to the end of March, the fertile plain of Imathia in Veria, Greece, is transformed by thousands of flowering peach trees into a vast pink sea. Peach trees, in the traditions of the East, is considered to be "The Tree of Life of the Earthly Paradise" that provides people with life and joy.
Peach blossoms symbolize spring, rebirth and as a result fertility, and have been inspired by great painters such as Van Gogh, Caravaggio, Vicenzo Campi, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Claude Monet, Édouard Manet, Henri Fantin-Latour, Severin Roesen, Peter Paul Rubens and more.
