Photography

Alex is known for his urban, nature & landscape photography, night photography and timelapse work. In addition to having been featured by important international organizations and publications including NASA and National Geographic, Alex's photography and timelapse imagery has been used by various brands around the world.

In 2011, BBC's monthly documentary series on astronomy The Sky at Night aired his astrophotography work and in the same year, the science centre International Centre for Life in the UK included his timelapse imagery on the digital show "On the Shoulders of Giants".

In 2015, Alex was one of the 20 artists from around the world who were invited to participate in the Mosaic of Change Live Architectural Projection Experience show in Paris, France in celebration of UNESCO's 70th anniversary. A first-of-its-kind large scale projection show canvassing the exterior facades of UNESCO's iconic headquarters. Alex's timelapse work, edited with the voice of French historian and intellectual Alain Daniélou was projected onto UNESCO's headquarters' buildings by the San Francisco-based creative studio Obscura Digital.

In 2018, Alex released online for free the short film City of Athens - A Portrait of a Changing Metropolis. The film received widespread acclaim and it was praised for its visuals. It received a large response upon release, receiving over 500,000 combined views on Vimeo, YouTube and Facebook. Excerpts of the film aired by all major broadcasters in Greece as well as by networks in UK, France, Italy, Germany, Portugal and more. For the film Alex received the Pangea Prize at the acclaimed Siena International Photography Awards in Italy in the Short Documentary Film category. He has also received honors at the Sony World Photography Awards, the International Earth & Sky Photo Contest & more.
